Skills Applied:
branding
illustration
strategy
merch
digital design
print design
video direction
The Situation:
reRuns is a fictional startup joining with major running shoe manufacturers looking to get rid of product waste in the athletic gear industry. Additionally, reRuns collaborates with streetlight initiatives across major cities in the United States to verify that certain neighborhoods are safe for running. The goal is that both of these efforts will promote wellness & community.
The Tension Points:
The Equipment: Running, especially distance running, is still somewhat of a niche activity. It favors those who have a fiscal & geographical advantage.
On top of that, public funding for equipment and infrastructure has begun drying up significantly in the last four years.
The Environment: Most neighborhoods where the target audience lives may not feel safe enough to even go on a jog alone.
The Solution:
The First Step On A New Path.
We wanted to introduce group running as a cost-effective and healthy way to interact, explore your neighborhood, and make memories with your friends.
By showcasing aspirational photography and testimonials from reRun recipients, we can naturally promote the benefits of this lifestyle
in a variety of ways that don’t preach or talk down to our audience.
Applications:
-Landing Page
-Ads as TikTok end cards
-Soc Media Hashtag (#reruns)
-Pop Up Shops outside of major athletic retailers (Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Under Armor)
- Fun Runs (1milers - 5Ks) in major cities’ downtown areas (Kiosk Designs)
Visual Style:
-My illustrative voice (heavier emphasis on illustrating people running, only area of photo use will be the shoes)
-Photography use should be communicating that running is for all people. Inclusivity is key here.
